2. Hit the Beach
With its tropical to subtropical climate, Queensland is indeed Australia’s Sunshine State. There is no shortage of spectacular beaches here, from the busy tourist beaches in the south to secluded, unspoilt slices of paradise in the more remote areas of the north and the many islands offshore. The beaches are indeed one of the best attractions of Queensland and one of the most beautiful beaches in the world is Whitehaven Beach on Whitsunday Island. Consisting of almost pure silica, its fine, powdery sand is so white it will hurt your eyes unless you wear sunglasses. Stretching over more than 4 miles, this quiet beach is just the place to go to if you want to feel like a real castaway.
