Are you like me and think that a weekend stay in one of the best luxury hotels would be a wonderful thing? Whether you’re a busy single mom, a single woman in the working world, going to school full time, or perhaps a mom with a hubby and five boys, we all need time to ourselves. I believe there is no truer statement than "you have to take care of yourself before you can fully take care of your family and all the things in your life." This is no easy thing to do, of course, because as women we feel like we have to do it all. We take quick showers, throw on whatever clothes are easy, and if you’re like me can’t remember the last time you shaved your legs. While these hotels are truly some of the best luxury hotels around, and you may think you can’t afford even a night at one of them, with all the travel and hotel discount web sites, it’s becoming easier for us to take time for ourselves. Take a look at my list here and consider a couple of nights taking care of you: reading, meditating, visiting a spa, sleeping, or just watching television. Whatever you enjoy doing that will help you to refresh yourself, do it!

1. Art Deco, Anyone?
One of the best luxury hotels in South Beach Miami is Hotel St. Augustine. According to i-Escape, it’s one of the best places to stay in one of South Beach’s up-and-coming districts, South of Fifth. Frommer’s calls it a "haven for hipsters." It’s affordable and close to the nightlife. This sounds like a great place for a girls’ weekend away!
2. New York Boutique Hotel
There is a new trend in places to stay called boutique hotels and while not The Plaza, The Gem Hotel, with three locations in New York (Chelsea, Midtown West, and Soho) offers some great and different amenities. I’m for trying the soothing pillow mists!

3. Let’s Go to Paris
The Hotel Du Louvre is a Hyatt Hotel and is stunning! It’s located between the Louvre Museum, the Opera Garnier and the Palais Royal. It was built in 1855, and each of the 177 rooms have their own distinct style. While I’ve not had the opportunity to visit Paris, the photos of The Hotel Du Louvre are more than encouraging, including the gorgeous soaking tubs in the bathrooms!
4. Italy
I have to say Italy is one place I dream of visiting. In Venice located in the centre of the city and facing the canal is the Bauer II Palazzo. Picture sumptuous rooms with Murano glass chandeliers, and amazing views from wherever you are in the hotel. I’d certainly give this 5-star hotel a try based on the reviews on lastminute.com.
5. The Savoy
If London is more your flavor, how about a splurge at The Savoy? It’s an iconic London Hotel that exudes glamour. Think Frank Sinatra and Katherine Hepburn when thinking of The Savoy. You’re on The Thames River in the middle of London and what could be better?
6. Back in the U.S
I have been to Las Vegas, and it was one of the best trips ever! If I go back, I’m definitely staying at The Bellagio. I saw Cirque Du Soleil’s O at The Bellagio, which was magnificent and the fountains are gorgeous! Let’s talk spa at The Bellagio. Expedia says, "The overall design of the luxurious 55,000-square-foot Spa Bellagio (surcharge) is Zen-influenced, balancing natural elements of earth, water, fire, and wind. The spa includes features of travertine marble, granite, bleached walnut, onyx, with reflecting pools, water walls, and illuminated aqua-colored glass." Wow!
7. Outrageous Luxury
Secrets Marquis Los Cabos is where George Clooney supposedly has his own beach villa right next door. I’d like to catch that sight, wouldn’t you? In the meantime, enjoy this over-the-top AAA 4-diamond resort and spa with more amenities than you can imagine!
While this list of some of the best luxury hotels may be out of our budgets, don’t be afraid to consider doing something luxurious for yourself. I have learned that when I do, I’m able to function better, concentrate, and realize that doing something special for myself isn’t going to bring the house down. If nothing on this list will work, after you have cleaned your bathroom, run yourself a hot bubble bath, light candles, pour a glass of wine if you wish, lock the bathroom door, and turn up the music. It’s all about the pampering, ladies!
