If you're going on vacation to the Garden State, there are lots of things to do in NJ. I don't know about you guys, but I sure love going on vacation! It's nice to get away, relax, and have some fun. Work gets hectic and we all need a change of pace and a break from life every now and then, right? Well, planning out your vacation can be just as fun as going on it! It helps build anticipation and excitement and you can get a game-plan together of what you want to see and do most while you are visiting. Right now, New Jersey seems like a great vacation spot to stop by. There are so many things to do there! My cousin is in the Coast Guard and he is stationed in NJ. Circle Line Statue of Liberty Cruise

No visit to NJ could be complete without seeing the Statue of Liberty up close and personal! I have only ever seen her in pictures, but as I am very patriotic, I know it would be a huge thrill to be right there next to her! I come from a long line of military-my great grandfather, my grandfather, my dad and now my husband have all served in branches of the military. Now I have cousins and brothers who are serving and I count it a privilege and an honor to have such brave men among my relations. So you can see why the Statue of Liberty would be at the very top of my list!

2

Leaming's Run Gardens

If you are the type of person who likes to take a few days to chill out and relax a little bit on your vacation, definitely make some time to see Leaming's Run Gardens! It is the largest annual garden in the USA with lots of beautiful flowers, lawns, fountains and ponds. It would be a nice place to enjoy a bit of nature and take a relaxing walk. Make sure this is on your list of things to do in NJ!

3

BoBolink Dairy Farm

Do you have and children? Then this is a must-see for you and your family! BoBolink Dairy Farm is one of the most unique kid-friendly things to do in NJ! You can even bring the family dog along! You will all enjoy spending the day at this very cool attraction.

4

Echo Lake Stables

If you've never been horseback riding before, make Echo Stables one of your stops while in NJ! Riding horses is fun for nearly every age, but what makes this stable so unique is that you can go horseback riding at night! What a fun adventure! If you are around horses on a regular basis, this may not be the newest experience for you but I would say to definitely make time for it if you have never ridden horses or if you enjoy it but don't get to do it very often!

5

Rat's Restaurant

Looking for somewhere that you and your sweetheart can enjoy a lovely evening dinner? Rat's Restaurant is one of the most romantic things to do in NJ, and an experience you will both love! The food is delicious and the atmosphere very sultry and makes for a great evening spent together. There are many restaurants to choose from in the great city of New Jersey, but I highly recommend this one for a romantic evening out!

Princeton Art Museum

If you have a love of art, this museum is one of the things you need to do in New Jersey! Compete with so many great pieces of art and interesting things to look at and discover, it will be a day well spent. The best part about this museum? It's completely free! I love freebies-not because I'm cheap but because it's nice to enjoy something for a change without having to shell out cash. I'm sure you will too!

Historic Smithville

After a few fast-paced, fun-filled days of vacation, it will be nice for you to be able to unwind a bit. You can browse through over 60 colonial shops in a historic NJ village. There are, in fact, many historic attraction in New Jersey and I would encourage you to stop by as many of them as you can while visiting. History is important! It tells us where we came from and remembering it is a very good thing. This should most definitely be on your list of things to do in New Jersey!

I truly hope you enjoyed my list of things to do in NJ and that some, if not all of these activities end up on your list of things to do while visiting there. All of these are great attractions and I would hate for you to miss out on them! Which of these activities will you be doing first? Please comment below, I would love to hear from you!
