Disneyland By far one of the most iconic Southern California theme parks, Anaheim’s Disneyland really is “the happiest place on Earth.” After you’ve soared to the stars on Space Mountain, traveled to countries around the globe aboard “It’s a Small World,” and visited the Old West on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, you can close out the night by taking in the spectacular Disneyland fireworks show. Thinking about coming back for an extra day or two? That's great, because with so many exciting things to see and do, you'll find that a one-day visit is hardly enough!

Disney California Adventure

Disney California Adventure Also part of the Disneyland Resort, Disney California Adventure features tons of exciting rides and lands inspired by the beauty of our nation’s Golden State. Hang glide through the clouds while Soarin’ Over California, brave whitewater rapids aboard the Grizzly River Run, and meet some of your favorite Cars characters as you ride the Radiator Springs Racers. After the sun goes down, be sure to also catch the World of Color water show at Paradise Pier for an entirely unique experience.

Universal Studios Hollywood

Universal Studios Hollywood Bring the big screen to life at Universal Studios Hollywood, where you’ll have the chance to experience everything from The Simpsons Ride to Transformers: The Ride-3D. Plus, don’t miss the popular backlot Studio Tour, where you’ll get a firsthand look at famous television and movie sets, along with an up-close-and-personal encounter with some larger-than-life characters, including King Kong and Jaws.

Six Flags Magic Mountain

Six Flags Magic Mountain Home to countless spectacular roller coasters, Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles lets you experience heart-pounding thrills aboard Batman The Ride, Green Lantern: First Flight and so many others. Bringing the kids? Head over to Bugs Bunny World, where little ones can enjoy milder adventures with rides like Elmer’s Weather Balloons, Yosemite Sam’s Flight School and the Merrie Melodies Carousel.

Knott’s Berry Farm

Knott’s Berry Farm Can’t get enough high-speed excitement? Plan a visit to Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, where you just might lose your voice screaming aboard coasters like the looping Boomerang and spinning Sierra Sidewinder. Don’t forget to also pick up a couple jars of the famous Knott’s Berry Farm jams and jellies as a delicious souvenir.

LEGOLAND California Resort

LEGOLAND California Resort Located north of San Diego in Carlsbad, this family-friendly theme park is every LEGO lover’s dream come true! Kids and adults alike will be wowed by Miniland USA, which features models of famous U.S. locales made from 20 million LEGO bricks. The whole family will also love the park’s mild yet adventurous rides, like The Dragon roller coaster and the popular Skipper School boat excursion. Beginning in April 2013, you can even make the adventure last all night long by booking a stay at the themed LEGOLAND Hotel.

SeaWorld San Diego

SeaWorld San Diego Get an up-close look at whales, dolphins, sharks, penguins and more when you visit SeaWorld in San Diego. After watching the famous Shamu Rocks show and exploring exhibits like Turtle Reef, you can also satisfy your wild side with a spin on exciting rides like Journey to Atlantis and Shipwreck Rapids. Looking for an even more amazing adventure? Unique experiences like the Dolphin Interaction Program and Penguins Up-Close Tour allow you to truly make the most of your visit.

SeaWorld is so fun! Even the city around it is full of life; there's a beach and a roller coaster, not to mention shops!
