7 Crazy Festivals You Can Go to in the US ...

If you’re looking for something insane, this is definitely on the list of crazy festivals in the US! Each year in West Virginia, the Roadkill Festival allows locals to enjoy a day of tasting, well, roadkill, or strange cuisine. They can also shop for local crafts, taste local wines, and enjoy live entertainment.

This festival would be one that I would love to attend! It’s a lot less disturbing than the Roadkill Festival, too. This festival is in Austin, Texas, and people dress up to celebrate one of the most beloved characters in Winnie the Pooh. The celebration includes live music, belly dancing, face painting, free food, and pictures with Eeyore! The best part is that proceeds go to local charities! And poor Eeyore will finally get his birthday party!

This festival promotes the preservation of the Keys’ coral reef ecosystem. Musicians dress as mermaids and mermen and put on a show for spectators. Many people, including divers, enjoy going to this. This sounds like something that I would love to attend. After all, how many people can say that they’ve been to an underwater music festival?

This festival has been going for 35 years, and it’s not ending anytime soon! People enjoy all things garlic, including garlic-flavored ice cream! There’s also live music and a garlic-braiding workshop. I’ve been to this festival a few times, and let me tell you: there’s nothing like it. Just make sure you bring along a few (or a huge box) of breath mints!

You’ve seen the duct tape dresses, now see duct tape everything else.! This festival in Ohio spends three days celebrating this product. The festival includes a duct tape fashion show, duct tape statues, and even a duct tape float parade. Many attendees decide to go in their own homemade duct tape designs too! How fun!

This festival is based on the San Fermin bull racing festival in Pamplona, Spain. Thankfully, there aren’t any bulls chasing after you. Instead, they have roller derby girls. If they catch you, they are allowed to whack you with a foam wiffle ball bat. This festival sounds like a game that you would play in a middle school physical education class!

Thousands of people flock to the Gulf Coast to toss a mullet fish over the state line between Alabama and Florida. It’s located on a beach, so it’s always a blast. There’s also oysters, live music, a triathlon, gold contest, bikini contest, and beach games! Doesn’t it sound like such a fun thing to do this summer with your (guy) friends?
