When you are thinking about places to spend leisure time and vacation time, Wales probably doesn’t usually come anywhere near the top of that list, right? My late brother lived in Wales and I loved to visit him there. I think it’s about time that Wales was given the respect that it deserves! Sure, it doesn’t offer the same kinds of experiences as Spain, France, or Italy, but what it lacks in Mediterranean flare, it more than makes for in other areas! Here are ten of the most stunning places to visit in Wales!

1. Mount Snowdon

highland, tarn, fell, loch, wilderness, The crowning jewel of Wales, Mount Snowdon is the central point of Snowdonia National Park and a must-visit destination for anyone with a passion for sweeping landscapes, hiking, rambling, and general exploring! There’s a cute tourist railway and the trails are dotted with little B&Bs and cosy pubs, so you get the best of all worlds!

6. Portmeirion

With perfect yellow sands and turquoise waters, not to mention stunning hill landscapes in the other direction, Rhossili beach is a must visit from anyone visiting that side of the country.
