Beautiful castles. :)

one word: wow!!!

#8 Love the blue roof. This is younger than the ones in Europe and does not have the historical history. The materials are newer. Was it built to become a hotel?

#7 Why so large? What did they do with all that room? Where did they get the building material?

#12 Again how did they accomplish this?

#6 There are park benches back by the lake where one can eat a picnic lunch. Delightful place.

#8 When was this built? By who? So beautiful.

some people in the comments are actually ridiculous and reading them actually makes me question humanity. I thought the list was great and I live in Scotland yet didn't even know that some of these existed! for anyone who is complaining that the author of this post should do her research or find "better" should really just suck it up and fuck off. and if it helps to soothe the pain that the article has so obviously caused you then you should write your own article with you're "actually beautiful" castles

There's, lochmond castle!!! 💟

Honestly, do your homework before you post a list. At least make sure you get the names of the places correct, and if you like Alnwick (which truly is a great castle), post a picture of the castle, not its treehouse.
