9 Gorgeous Places to See before You Die ...

1 Santorini, Greece

While I’m sure most people have Greece on your list of places you need to see before you die, Santorini is extra special to me. I’ve been in love with Santorini for years now. Actually, I’m sure most people who saw the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movies can attest to that. Ever since I read those books as a child, and then saw the movies, I’ve absolutely needed to go to Santorini. Talk about beautiful!

2 Sorrento, Italy

I’ve been lucky enough to spend time in Italy before, but I was so young that I don’t remember most of it. I still have family there, so we spent a lot of time with them. We also went to Sorrento, though, and although I was young and don’t remember most of it, I distinctly remember thinking how beautiful it was. It really is an amazing place and I hope I can go back one day. Just do a Google search for Sorrento and I’m sure you will add it to your list of places you need to see before you die on the spot!

3 Bali, Indonesia

I’m almost positive anyone that’s seen Eat Pray Love added Bali to their list of places they need to see before they die while they were still in the movie theatre. If you haven’t seen it, watch it right now and you will want to book your trip there as soon as possible. You will also want her gorgeous outdoor bedroom and your own Javier Bardem, of course. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

4 The Maldives

I’ve been thinking about why The Maldives are on my list of places to go before I die, and why they should be on yours, and I’ve come up with two reasons. Those amazing over-water hotels are there, and there’s «electric blue» water. Google it. You won’t be sorry. I personally just don’t think it gets cooler than that.

5 Paris, France

Even if you think it’s cheesy, there’s a good chance you want to see Paris just as much as the rest of the world does. In all seriousness though, are there people who don’t have Paris on their lists of places to see before they die? Who doesn’t want to eat croissants by the Eiffel Tower and go to the Love Lock Bridge? Surely those people don’t exist, right?

6 The Caribbean

There are so many gorgeous places in the Caribbean that is nearly impossible to narrow it down to a specific country or city you need to see before you die! I’ve been to a few countries in the Caribbean, and besides the fact that they’re gorgeous, the water is so blue, and all of that jazz, they’re also amazing countries with the nicest people and a lot to offer. Experiencing a Caribbean island, and not just the resort version of the island, should be on everyone’s lists of places they need to go before they die. I promise you will never experience anything like it.

7 Bora Bora

We all have wild dreams of pretending to be a Kardashian and renting out an entire block of over-water hotel rooms in Bora Bora. We might not have $4,000 a night to shell out, but we can always dream.

8 Australia

There are so many beautiful places in Australia that I’m almost sure the long plane rides are worth it. There’s so much variety in Australia that it was so difficult to pick one place. There’s the Great Barrier Reef and the insane aquatic life you’ll encounter, or there’s Sydney and all of the tourist spots you must hit - the list is endless. No matter where you go in Australia, I’m sure you can’t go wrong.

9 Cape Town, South Africa

South Africa is a beautiful country and Cape Town is a perfect example of that. While it’s scenic and absolutely gorgeous, there’s so much going on behind all of that that no-one sees. There’s so much history in South Africa that you can go there for that while also getting to experience a beautiful place!
