1. Fun

One of the first things that come to mind when thinking about Disneyland Paris is fun. It’s just plain simple fun. Of course going on vacation is always fun, but Disneyland Paris has this special ambiance that simply radiates fun and awesomeness. The rides are awesome, having your picture taken with the Disney characters is awesome and seeing your kids have a great time is awesome. In Disneyland you will experience fun as if you were a seven-year-old. Fun is definitely one of the best reasons to love Disneyland Paris.

2. Magical

Consider yourself warned, Disneyland definitely has some kind of mojo working for it. Once you enter those gates it’s done. You will lose all sense of adulthood and spend the next few days as a kid in a candy store. The whole ambiance is so magical, I can hardly find words to describe it. My father, a kind of serious and quiet person, changes into this adorable happy-go-lucky ‘man-child’ once he visits Disneyland. That’s the kind of effect the Magic Kingdom has on you! It’s kind of like being in an actual Disney movie village. Main Street U.S.A. especially gives you this feeling. Once you enter the park, you will see the town square and Main Street, which are inspired by Walt Disney’s hometown of Marceline around the turn of the twentieth century. As you can imagine, this looks amazing and it’s just so much fun walking along the street and browsing the cute little shops it has.

3. No Age Limit

No matter how old you are, when you’re in Disneyland you’re young. And I’m not just talking about the whole magical vibe it has. There’s something fun to do for all ages. Personally I wouldn’t take a baby there just because of all the hassle, but for those of you who would like to take a baby, there are plenty of things to do. Think about rides for the youngest children, the Disney characters that walk around the park, and for the parents there’s this service called 'baby switch.’ Baby switch allows one parent to look after bubs while the other goes on a ride, then they simply switch places. Both parents can go on the ride without waiting twice! Older children will love Disneyland for obvious reasons, teens and adults can enjoy some wilder rides like the Space Mountain and grandma and grandpa will just love seeing the smiles on their grandchildren’s faces. The wonderful shows which take place during the day and evening are just breathtaking, no matter what age you are. Apart from the rides, you can also go swimming in your hotel, go golfing, browse the shops, walk around Disney Village or visit the dance club after the parks have closed.

4. Rides and Shows

One of the most obvious reasons to visit Disneyland Paris are of course the rides and shows. As I mentioned before, there’s something for all ages. My personal favorites are the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Crush’s Coaster. One of the most popular attractions is this awesome ride on a train through the mountains called Big Thunder Mountain. It goes fast enough for the adrenaline junkies but it’s not a roller coaster so it’s also suitable for smaller children. Other popular attractions are Space Mountain, Phantom Manor, It’s a Small World, Pirates of the Caribbean and Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast. As for the shows, one is even more magical than the other; especially the ones after sundown when everything is illuminated by thousands of little lights! When you visit Disneyland you just have to go see the shows at least once!

5. Romance

Are you two lovebirds going on a holiday? Go to Disneyland Paris! It has everything for a nice romantic trip. Wake up in one of the beautiful hotels, spend the day having a blast in the two parks, have a romantic dinner in one of the many restaurants and end the day in Disney Village with a drink. Every corner of Disneyland just breathes magic and romance. Especially when the sun goes down and all those lights illuminate the park! It will make the perfect setting for a magical proposal. Or what about a romantic day trip to the city of love?

6. Accessible to Anyone

Personally I think everyone deserves a vacation every once in a while, this includes disabled (or less abled) people. Disney seems to agree with me because they have excellent facilities for their less abled visitors. The whole park is wheelchair-friendly, there are special waiting lines so you don’t have to wait that long, and blind people can bring their guide dog.

7. Disney Makes You Feel Special

Have you ever seen depressed people at Disneyland? Didn't think so, that’s because you just get this special feeling when you’re at Disneyland. They make sure that the whole Disney experience will make you feel like royalty. The hotels, even though they’re in different star categories, are all breathtaking and simply gorgeous. Every hotel has its own theme which you will see throughout the whole hotel, including the rooms. Everything is super clean, and it even smells magical, the staff wears the cutest uniforms and everyone is really friendly. The shops you will find throughout the whole resort are just to die for! For those lucky souls among us who can spend some extra Euros, if you’re looking for the ultimate magical experience make sure you book a suite in the Disneyland Hotel. Sadly for me I’m not one of those lucky souls but it’s definitely on my bucket list. These stunning suites not only provide magical nights but they also allow you to use the ‘VIP Fastpass’. These will come in handy when there’s a long line at popular rides. Normally you would get a general ‘Fastpass’ which will give you a time at which you can come back and stand in a shorter, special line. With the ‘VIP Fastpass’ you can join the shorter line whenever you want! Together with a dinner in one of the a la carte restaurants this will make your stay even more magical. If that doesn’t make you feel special, I don’t know what will!

8. Holidays

If you’re a Disneyland addict like I am, you just have to visit during the holidays. Granted, it may be a little more crowded but it’s definitely worth it. Of course you don’t actually have to visit on a special day itself, holidays in Disneyland last longer. How about a spooky little vacation in Halloween style? Or the most magical Christmas ever, with a massive Christmas tree and thousands of lights. There will even be snow! Well, okay I believe last time I was there during the holidays it were actually bubbles and not real snow, but hey who cares right? By the way, have you ever thought of spending New Year’s Eve in Disneyland? It gets crazy crowded but it’s so amazing to see the fireworks together with other Disney lovers, and to ring in the new year with your favorite Disney characters. How long until December guys?

9. Shopping

Let’s say I still didn’t convince you. I can hardly even imagine, but maybe this will make your heartbeat rise. For the shopaholics there are some awesome shopping possibilities in and a little outside of Disneyland. Throughout the whole resort you will find several shops, of course all of them Disney themed. But seriously, they’re so gorgeous, even if you’re not even buying anything, browsing them is wonderful. I always feel like a kid in a candy store. They don’t only sell toys and stuff, they literally sell too many things to mention. But I’ll name some things you might be interested in as an adult. How about, clothing, art, home decorations, books and the most adorable baby clothing and nursery items you will ever find. That’s not all! Just outside of Disneyland there’s this huge mall. Okay maybe not huge for those who are used to American sized malls, but hey I’m Dutch. It’s called Val d’Europe and it’s a mall where the French do their shopping. Logically you’ll find a supermarket, clothing stores and any other kind of store you’d expect to be in a mall. There’s one more little gem to this mall, it has the cutest outlet village where you can get top brands on discount, how about that!

10. Oui, Oui, Paris

To conclude my top ten, I’d like to mention the marvelous city of Paris. How awesome is it to combine your Disneyland trip with a day in Paris? It’s easily accessible with public transport, and you can catch the subway next to Disney Village, at the train station. Go have a French lunch near the Eiffel Tower, take an excursion on a boat on the Seine, go shopping, visit the many parks or the famous Louvre museum. There are plenty of choices to make the most out of your day in Paris, and when you get tired, you get to rest your feet in a beautiful hotel room.

So that's my top ten reasons to love Disneyland Paris. I hope I brought you just a little of the Disney magic through this article. I for can't wait to go back there. Have you ever been to Disneyland? If so, do you have more reasons to add to the list?
