There are multitudes of national landmarks across the globe, but there are some that I just think you have to see in person. Of course, your opinion might differ, so I’d love to hear which ones top your list. Some national landmarks can get touristy so be ready for that. 1 Eiffel Tower

I bet you knew this would top the list of national landmarks you have to see. I can attest to that. I visited one summer and I’d go back in a heartbeat. It was loaded with people, but I have some great shots of my husband and I standing in front of it. There’s a big park around the tower, so you can enjoy lunch under the tower while you watch the French go by.

5 Cologne Cathedral

The largest Gothic church in Europe is this national landmark’s claim to fame. It’s visible from most places in the city and is a place you must see to believe. It’s a dominant landmark in the city of Cologne, but epitomizes the churches and architecture of ancient buildings all over Europe. You’ll learn something and get to glimpse something truly awe inspiring.

6 Hoover Dam

The Hoover Dam, located just outside Las Vegas, is a wonder to behold. It’s a huge dam that you can see from many angles. The structure was revolutionary at its time and exploring it is a memorable time for people of all ages. Join a tour to see more of the dam and learn all about its history and how it works.

7 Mt. Rushmore

This place is great for kids! They’ll love seeing faces carved out of the mountain and so will you. It took more than 15 years to complete this national landmark and it shows by the detail in the granite. If you love camping, book a site nearby and hike the whole area. You’ll get to see four of our past presidents in a whole new light.
