Eiffel Tower

Eiffel Tower I bet you knew this would top the list of national landmarks you have to see. I can attest to that. I visited one summer and I’d go back in a heartbeat. It was loaded with people, but I have some great shots of my husband and I standing in front of it. There’s a big park around the tower, so you can enjoy lunch under the tower while you watch the French go by.

Grand Canyon

Grand Canyon The Grand Canyon is just so awe-inspiring. It’s surrounded by beautiful scenery and the hiking is wonderful. There’s something at the Grand Canyon for everyone, so it’s a great destination if you have kids. You might even enjoy a donkey ride into the canyon – what a great way to see everything this national landmark has to offer.

The National Mall

The National Mall Being in Washington D.C. is one of my greatest life memories. The National Mall is something you should see at least once in your life. Not only does it give you great panoramic views of the entire city, but it also gives you the chance to immerse yourself in history. So many things have happened on the National Mall and saying you’ve been there is truly an honor.

Forbidden City

Located in China, the Forbidden City appeals to me because I love being inside historical buildings. If you’re the same way, this is a must-see national landmark. It boasts some of the oldest buildings in the world and gives you a rare glimpse into life centuries ago. While you’re in China, don’t forget to check out the Great Wall too. It will take your breath away.

Cologne Cathedral

The largest Gothic church in Europe is this national landmark’s claim to fame. It’s visible from most places in the city and is a place you must see to believe. It’s a dominant landmark in the city of Cologne, but epitomizes the churches and architecture of ancient buildings all over Europe. You’ll learn something and get to glimpse something truly awe inspiring.

Hoover Dam

Hoover Dam The Hoover Dam, located just outside Las Vegas, is a wonder to behold. It’s a huge dam that you can see from many angles. The structure was revolutionary at its time and exploring it is a memorable time for people of all ages. Join a tour to see more of the dam and learn all about its history and how it works.

Mt. Rushmore

Mt. Rushmore This place is great for kids! They’ll love seeing faces carved out of the mountain and so will you. It took more than 15 years to complete this national landmark and it shows by the detail in the granite. If you love camping, book a site nearby and hike the whole area. You’ll get to see four of our past presidents in a whole new light.

Also the largest pyrimid in bosnia as well as in mayan south america

I thought the exact same as Emma above me- why are so many in the USA? Does a 'mall' in Washington really score above Christ the Redeemer in Rio, the Taj Mahal in India, the Great Wall of china? How about the colosseum in Rome, Machu Piccu in Peru, the Blue Lagoon in Iceland, Easter Island in chile, the great pyramids of Giza or The Lord Murugan statue of Malaysia? This list is incredibly ignorant.

4 out of 7 national landmarks I must see are in the States? Really? Bit narrow minded. What about the Colosseum in Rome? Ayers Rock? The pyramids in Egypt? There are so many more 'worthy' landmarks than four US ones.
