Keep a Toiletries Bag Packed

Always keep a bag of toiletries packed and ready to go in your closet. Whether that means replenishing your travel-sized toiletries after every trip or investing in another set of your favorite full-sized beauty products, keeping a toiletries bag packed is one of the most important tips for packing in a hurry. Remembering every last toiletry you use can be daunting, especially when you’re trying to pack in a hurry. Eliminate the worry that you’re forgetting something by keeping all of your toiletries packed and ready to go!

2

Roll Your Clothes

This tip is basically law at this point, but if you’re traveling n a hurry and need to save a little bit of room, rolling your clothes will save you a little bit of room and a lot of time!

3

Keep a List on Your Phone

There are a lot of travel checklists online that tell you what you should be packing, but they’re not tailored for you. Take a little bit of time out of a day to compile a list of what you commonly pack on trips. You’ll find yourself going back to it every time you have a new trip to go on in a hurry!

4

Know Your Airline’s Rules

Save yourself a little time packing and a lot of time in airport security by checking out your airline’s rules beforehand. If your airline wants your liquids in one plastic bag, save yourself some time and a headache at the airport by putting them in a plastic bag before you go. Things like this that seem so simple will save you so much time and stress!

5

Keep a Bag Semi-Packed

If you have a typical bag that you use for travel, keep it somewhat packed with clothes or items that you don’t wear regularly enough to keep in your closet. If you really need to pack on a moment’s notice, having a bag packed, even part-packed, will be a lifesaver.

Famous Quotes

Men in general judge more from appearances than from reality. All men have eyes, but few have the gift of penetration.

6

Be Realistic

Packing in a hurry is not a time to overpack. Be realistic with yourself about what you’ll wear and what will sit at the bottom of your suitcase. Will you really work out in your hotel’s gym everyday? If the answer’s no, leave the tennis shoes at home. Ask yourself if you’ll really wear everything you’re packing, and you’ll cut down the weight of your suitcase quickly.

7

Know Your Routine

It’s story time! When I was a teenager, I had a case of DVDs that got stopped in airport security. They searched through my entire bag trying to find my “weapon” and it took what felt like forever. To this day, I pull that DVD case out of my bag every time I travel to save myself the hassle. Predict what’s going to happen and plan for it. If something similar has happened to you, plan in advance to take it out of your bag. Know what you need to do to make the traveling process as easy and painless as possible! It takes a little bit of practice, but once you have it down, it will make your travels insanely easier!

8

Keep Important Items with You

Keep your most important and valued items with you, don’t check them. This is especially important if you have a connecting flight, because it massively increases your chances of losing your luggage. I personally like to keep my laptop with me, as well as any other items I happen to need that I consider valuable to me.

9

Pack an Extra Pair of Clothes

Keep an outfit that doesn’t take up too much room in your carry-on, just in case your luggage does get lost. My family started to employ this tip when we’d travel to foreign places where we weren’t sure we’d be able to easily buy other clothes, and it’s something I still do today. Depending on the size of your carry-on, it shouldn’t take up too much room, and in the rare occasion that you do lose your luggage, you will be thankful for your extra outfit!

What are your tips for quick and easy packing? I’m always looking for new tips to streamline the travel process, so let me know what you do in the comments!
