7 Trips You Must Take at Least Once in Your Lifetime ...

The first of trips you must take at least once in your lifetime is an all-girls trip. Get out somewhere with just your girlfriends: Vegas, Palm Springs, a spa, the mountains... Wherever you go, you'll have amazing moments, stories to share and new friends to make! Bring your most comfortable outfit and your most glitzy dress, and you'll be ready!

Whether you already have a family of your own, or it's you, your siblings and your parents (or even larger!) a family trip creates bonds that just can't be made at home dinners and family holidays. On a trip, you'll all be on an adventure and can share and cherish memories that wouldn't have otherwise happened.

A plane flight or drive alone to visit a friend are always great. Going towards and leaving from that trip on your own, you'll have a lot of time to reflect. For me at least, there's something very segmenting about traveling. I always see to come home just a little bit more changed for the better. Enjoying that transition alone en route to home is something to be cherished.

If you're coupled, once you're ready, a trip is a great forward step in any relationship. When on a trip, you'll see how the two of you handle small day-to-day stresses, decisions and, not to mention, being in one another's face 24/7. When the time is right, plan a trip with your new beau and get ready for what may come of it!

A road trip is a special way to travel. On the road, there's so many things you'll see that you wouldn't otherwise see on a plane or even a train. And, when going from city to city and town to town, you'll literally feel the transition from one place to another. If you're on the west coast, I would suggest a road trip through California. The ride north is pretty amazing... and it's a surprising state from city to city.

An important part of traveling is getting immersed in another culture. It's not always a big play into every trip, but you should try to experience the new place as much as possible. When traveling somewhere completely different from your day-to-day, make time to try and mingle with the locals, learn a few words of the language, try foods that aren't available in your hometown, walk a local market... The list goes on!

And don't forget the most important kind of trips: day trips! Whether it's to your next-door city, a favorite park or somewhere even closer, day trips are magical. Plan day-long picnics out and adventures in the nearest town. Or go for a more intensive trip and map out your start, your lunch and your afternoon strolls.
