Visit Your Surroundings

The best tip I could give you on how to spend your summer vacation at home without getting bored, is to tell you to just go and visit your surroundings. In most cases, you could find a lot of sights or tourist attractions within a radius of 30 miles of your hometown. And, I bet you’ll discover a lot of amazing things very close to your home and you didn’t even have a clue they existed!

Go to a Park

No matter how big or small your home town is, it surely must have at least one beautiful park. So, what are you waiting for? Go at least one or twice a week for a walk in one of the amazing parks in your town. You can take your friends or your kids (if you have any) with you and you’ll have some quality fun time in a lovely surrounding. The fresh air will only do you good, it will also help you feel more relaxed and will chase away the stress you’ve accumulated during the day.

Go to a Pool

If you’re one of the lucky people who have a pool, well, problem solved! You can definitely spend your summer vacation at home without getting bored. If you haven’t got a pool, you can go to a public swimming pool or maybe one of our friends owns a pool and you can go there as often as you wish. Either way, you should take advantage of the lovely weather and go for a swim!

Go outside

Try to take advantage of this beautiful season and go outside when you have some free time. Go for a walk in the park, for a jog, play a sport or just go outside and sit on the porch, or on a bench or wherever you want. Just go outside and enjoy the sun and the lovely weather! It’s a good way to fight depression and also, you’ll spend your summer vacation at home in a very pleasant way, maybe you’ll even forget you’re staying at home this summer.

Read a Book

I’m sure that you must have this wonderful book you always wanted to read but you never had the time to do it. Well, now’s the perfect time to make your wish come true. There’s nothing more pleasant and relaxing than reading a good book on a bench in the park or on a blanket outside your house in this lovely season. You’ll also enjoy the sunlight and nature’s beauty in this wonderful time of year.

Learn Something New

If you have to spend your summer vacation at home this year, then this is the perfect time to learn something new you’ve always dreamed doing but feared you didn’t have the time to master it. Now, you can learn to play the piano, to play guitar, you could learn how to swim, or even how to use some new computer software. The choice is yours! I’m sure you’ll have plenty to choose from, so, go ahead, indulge yourself!

Go on Picnics

Gather your friends and family and go on picnics as often as possible! The fresh air will do you good and you’ll spend some quality time with all your beloved ones far away from the noisy town or from your TV or computer screen. You can even prepare for these picnics and learn some new recipes and make some new healthy dishes that will amaze your friends and family. Or you can even do this together, the choice is yours!

Organize a Sleepover

Summer is the best time to organize sleepovers or to go on sleepovers. It’s your choice! You can talk to your friends and take turns in organizing these very pleasant activities. You’ll be able to do all kinds of fun things with your friends and in my opinion; this is the perfect activity for a hot summer night. You won’t even notice that you’ll be spending your summer at home this year!

Go on an Adventure

If you’ve got nothing planned for this summer and you’re afraid you’ll get bored, try going on an adventure with some of our friends and family. You could visit a town nearby, or a place you’ve never been before, or you could even go for a walk in the woods. You should remember to stay safe and take a charged mobile phone with you at all times.

Summer ends when summer ends. Most of the big festivals are over. Hotels go back down. Traveling slows. School is back. Casual Fridays at jobs are over its back to work. We are entering the dormant seasons and it does not matter if you live in Florida or Arizona or California or Massachusetts. There is a 'feeling' in summer and its lost. A very ill timed article. Maybe a better title and more appropriate article would be I'm going to drag my summer into fall.
