Easter PArade and Bonnet Festival
Taking place on Easter Sunday (1st April), the parade marches north on Fifth Avenue starting at 49th Street up to 57th Street. Anyone wearing a bonnet can join in the parade. The best views are usually around St. Patrick's Cathedral on Fifth Avenue between 50th and 51st Streets. Blooms and Cocktails at New York Botanical Garden Orchid Show
Until 22nd April this year visitors spending Easter in New York will still be able to see the exotic glory of orchids at the city's botanical garden orchid show. This year's show (the 16th annual event) is designed by Belgian florist Daniel Ost. Go at night to admire the kaledioscopic displays with a colorful cocktail in your hand and enjoy live music and Thai dance performances. Where? New York Botanical Gardens at 2900 Southern Blvd.

Who doesn't love an Easter Egg hunt - lots of yummy chocolate eggs to gorge on once you find them. Solve clues to find the eggs hidden around the city.
