Analavory is a cold geyser, as there is no volcanic activity underground, and is located in the middle of the island of Madagascar. The color of the geyser is caused by large amounts of iron and lime that are dissolved by the water when it gets contact with the outside.

Antsiranana Bay, the large natural bay along the northeast coast of Madagascar, is considered one of the finest natural harbors in the world.

Andavadoaka is a small fishing village on the southwest coast. It lies on the edge of a shallow lagoon protected from ocean by submerged barrier coral reefs. Owing to the remoteness and isolation, these reefs are thought to possess a significantly higher abundance and diversity of marine life than other reefs in southwest Madagascar.
