1

Learn a New Language

The awesome thing about being in a new country is immersing yourself in its culture! You can try and learn textbook phrases but you really won't get the hang of it until you're there. Trust me, learning a new language will happen very quickly when you have no other option but to do so. You'll hear the language on a daily basis and hear it used in its proper context. This is just one of the reasons to consider studying abroad.

2

Opportunity to Travel

Not everyone has the luxury of being able to travel as they please. School provides the perfect platform to be able to do just that! Weekends and academic breaks will allow you to go out and explore your surroundings! Some more structured study abroad programs even have exploration planned in or around the curriculum. You'll be able to visit places you never thought you would!

3

You'll Develop Skills

Being away from home in a new culture setting will be scary at first, but it'll also be very exciting! It's an opportunity to discover new strengths and abilities. You'll conquer new challenges, and solve new problems. You'll undoubtedly come across situations that are unfamiliar to you but you'll learn to adapt and respond in effective ways. I can almost guarantee you that if you're shy, being abroad will help you develop your communication skills!

4

You'll Learn about Yourself

If it'll be your first time away from home, studying abroad will definitely help you be a bit more grown up and independent. You'll return home with new ideas and perspectives about yourself and your own culture. Study abroad will challenge you to reconsider everything, including beliefs and values. The experience might strengthen those values or it may allow you to embrace new ones. Encountering a new culture will help you see life through new eyes.

5

Enhances Employment Opportunities

Your experience living and studying in a foreign country and acquiring another language will all set you apart from the majority of other job applicants. Through an employer's eyes, a student who has studied abroad is self-motivated, independent, willing to embrace challenges, and able to cope with diverse problems and situations. You'll definitely stand out for the job!

Famous Quotes

Love is like a friendship caught on fire. In the beginning a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable.

Opportunity for New Friends

While you're traveling, you'll not only meet the local natives but you'll also meet other international students who are as far from home as you are. Sharing an experience like this will give you guys an unbreakable bond! You're sure to make friends for life.
