2 Monte-Carlo Casino

If you’re old enough, the Monte-Carlo Casino is worth a visit. Unlike the flashy casinos of Vegas, the Monte-Carlo Casino is all class. Even if you’re not a gambler, it’s worth dressing up and stepping inside, just to see the lavish décor and experience how the high rollers live.

3 Jardin Exotique

For such a small region, Monaco seems to have a lot of gardens. One of the must-sees is the Jardin Exotique, or the exotic gardens. It’s located on a cliffside and you can grab some of the best views of Monaco from the gardens. Enjoy a stroll through the collections of succulents and cacti, and then head down for a tour of La Grotte de l’Observatoire – a deep mountainside cave located at the foot of the cliff.

4 Cathédrale De Monaco

Located in the old town of Monaco, Cathédrale de Monaco is a popular destination for visitors. While the cathedral is the resting place for many royals, the most notable are the flower-covered graves of Princess Grace and Prince Rainier III.

5 Grimaldi Forum

While it is Monaco’s congress centre, the Grimaldi Forum is also a cultural centre. Check out a ballet performance by Les Ballets des Monte-Carlo, Monaco’s premier dance company, or enjoy contemporary art exhibitions that frequently take place there. The building itself is also worth a look – two-thirds of it is submerged in the sea and it’s full of designer dining and drinking spaces.

6 Musée Océanographique

The Musee Oceanographique, or the Oceanographic Museum, is one of Monaco’s best museums. Built into a cliff in the back of the Old Town, the location alone is worth checking out! The top two floors of the museum are dedicated to ocean exhibitions, while down below you’ll find an aquarium with tanks full of sharks, exotic fish, and coral reefs.

7 Roseraie Princess Grace

The Roseraie Princess Grace, or the Princess Grace Rose Garden, is located in the Fontvieille district of Monaco. The rose garden was created in 1984 as a memorial to Princess Grace of Monaco. With over 4000 rose bushes and a small swan-filled lake, a stroll through this picturesque garden is definitely worthwhile.
