The state rooms are open to the public during the summer months and entry tickets to the palace also include admission into the Napoleon Museum next door. Even if you don’t take a tour inside, you can catch the changing of the guards that takes place just before noon each day.

3 Jardin Exotique
For such a small region, Monaco seems to have a lot of gardens. One of the must-sees is the Jardin Exotique, or the exotic gardens. Enjoy a stroll through the collections of succulents and cacti, and then head down for a tour of La Grotte de l’Observatoire – a deep mountainside cave located at the foot of the cliff.

Located in the old town of Monaco, Cathédrale de Monaco is a popular destination for visitors. While the cathedral is the resting place for many royals, the most notable are the flower-covered graves of Princess Grace and Prince Rainier III.
5 Grimaldi Forum
While it is Monaco’s congress centre, the Grimaldi Forum is also a cultural centre. Check out a ballet performance by Les Ballets des Monte-Carlo, Monaco’s premier dance company, or enjoy contemporary art exhibitions that frequently take place there. The building itself is also worth a look – two-thirds of it is submerged in the sea and it’s full of designer dining and drinking spaces.
6 Musée Océanographique
The Musee Oceanographique, or the Oceanographic Museum, is one of Monaco’s best museums. Built into a cliff in the back of the Old Town, the location alone is worth checking out! The top two floors of the museum are dedicated to ocean exhibitions, while down below you’ll find an aquarium with tanks full of sharks, exotic fish, and coral reefs.
7 Roseraie Princess Grace
The Roseraie Princess Grace, or the Princess Grace Rose Garden, is located in the Fontvieille district of Monaco. The rose garden was created in 1984 as a memorial to Princess Grace of Monaco. With over 4000 rose bushes and a small swan-filled lake, a stroll through this picturesque garden is definitely worthwhile.
