1. Compromise on a Destination
When you’re deciding where you want to travel to, it’s important to make your feelings known even if it means that you’re disagreeing with your partner. This is actually one of the most important answers to how to take a successful vacation as a couple. Your partner will respect your honesty more than if you were to lie just to keep him happy. If you’re lying in the beginning, it signals problems ahead. Be honest with him from the start and voice your opinion on where you would like to go and perhaps you’ll discover that he wants the same.
2. Plan It Thoroughly
The main reason new couples argue on vacation is when everything doesn’t go according to plan. Naturally, they start to blame each other and that’s when the cracks start to show in the relationship. Even though being spontaneous can be fun, it’s always a good idea to have a thorough plan, especially when it’s your first vacation together. It just means that you have less reason to worry about anything going wrong and more time to enjoy yourselves.

3. Discuss Money
Money is a big part of every relationship and it can become an issue when planning a vacation. You might feel uncomfortable mentioning it, but this is something that needs to be discussed beforehand, so you know what to expect. You might find that splitting the cost of things works out best for the both of you, or perhaps the person with the bigger income will decide to cover everything. It all depends on your financial situation. Either way, it’s definitely something that you need to discuss.
Most likely, you don’t like all of the things that your partner likes and he won't want to do all of the things you want to do. If either of you want to go exploring or need some time alone, then clearly let him know how you feel. Speaking up about what you need is really important and it will help strengthen your relationship.
