Travel is one of my favorite things to do, and I’m always on the lookout for places to visit in summer! This summer is still brand new and ahead of us, so why not pick a place from this list and take a road-trip with your favorites? Vacations are fun and relaxing, so my one tip is just to save up so you have plenty of funds on hand! Keep reading for some awesome places to visit in summer!
Of course, Hawaii has to be number one on my list of places to visit in summer! Hawaii has always been my favorite vacation spot, and who doesn’t dream of beaches during a hot summer day? I’ve never been to Hawaii with kids along, but I know people who have. Bottom line: Hawaii is a perfect vacation for lovers or families alike!
2. Disney World
Disney World is another “dream vacation” spot for most of us, and rightly so! There are so many things to do, and kids and adults alike will have a blast. Disney World is very large, and full of things to do, so you will never be bored. If you go, be sure to pack sunscreen. Walking through the park can make it easy for you to get burnt depending on what time of year you go.
3. Smokey Mountains
When I was kid, my family and I would vacation to the Smokey Mountains almost every year. We would always pack a tent and set up a campsite for a few days. If you’re not the outdoorsy type, this may not be your cup of tea. But there are of course, cabins and hotels you could rent for modern day comforts close at hand. You are sure to enjoy some beautiful scenery if you visit the Smokey Mountains!
4. Mount Rushmore
Mount Rushmore is one of those places I think every American should visit once in their lifetime. Full of history, it’s the perfect place to stop by if you love historical landmarks. I’ve only been once, but I’d love to go back someday, it’s worth the trip!
5. Grand Canyon
The Grand Canyon has some of the most remarkable beauty I have ever seen. It’s a rugged, natural beauty, and one you won’t regret taking in. There are lots of little shops and museums in the area, and the trails and parks in the area make it fun for kids too. Make sure you take lots of pictures on this road trip!
6. Niagara Falls
If you visit Niagara Falls this summer, you will experience quite a rush (pardon the pun)! Breathtaking beauty, lots of good places to eat, and of course shopping opportunities make this vacation one that has something for everyone! If you have small children, make sure you keep them close by, but otherwise, enjoy your trip to this lovely vacation spot!
7. Branson, MO
Branson is probably one of my most favorite vacation spots ever! Branson is very family-oriented, but there are plenty of things for couples or groups to do as well. From tours, to theme parks, to live shows, you won’t be bored for a single minute if you choose Branson as a place to visit in summer!
8. Noah’s Water Park
Almost everyone, child or adult, loves water parks! Noah’s Water Park in Wisconsin Dells is one of the world’s largest water parks! You will be busy having fun every day that you’re there, and if you get tired of the water, you can simply lounge around and be lazy. That’s what vacations are for, right?
Vacation does take a little extra budgeting, but if you are able to work it out, you will have a blast! These are all some of my favorite places to visit for a vacation, and many of them I’ve been to multiple times. The great thing about most of these places is that they are family friendly, so you can take the little ones along. Where are your favorite places to visit in summer?
