Tropical Weather

Probably the most convincing out of this list of reasons to visit Miami is the weather. Living in Miami, I have the luxury of waking up the morning and throwing on a pair of cute shorts, a tank top, and some flip-flops and I’m ready for my day. If you live in a colder climate, this is the perfect reason to visit Miami. You’ll have the opportunity to explore some different fashion and wear things you never have a chance to — like some adorable sundresses!

UPD:

The sun kisses your skin and the breeze flows through your hair as you bask in the glorious Miami sunshine. It's a fashionista's paradise year-round, with the chance to don your brightest colors and chicest beachwear. Imagine lounging by the crystal-clear ocean, your toes in the white sand, without a heavy coat in sight! It's the escape from the dreary gray skies you've been dreaming of — a place where the summer feel never fades and every day is a perfect beach day!

2

Beaches

Who can come to Miami and not go to the famous Miami Beach? It’s sun, sand, and clear blue water as far as the eye can see. Plus, with the great weather in Miami, almost every day is a beach day! Even in the winter the water is good, especially if you’re used to colder temperatures. It’s the best place to go with family or friends and have a good time! Although be sure to wear sunscreen. I’m a Miami native, and even my skin burns with only 30 minutes of sun.

3

Tons of Water Fun

Aside from the beach, the ocean in Miami offers a variety of fun things to do. Rent a boat or a jet-ski, learn to windsurf, go snorkeling or scuba diving, or even fishing! There are also plenty of restaurants right on the water, so if doing those things isn’t quite your style, you can still have fun without getting wet.

4

Great Shopping

There are plenty of great malls and shops in Miami, although my personal favorite would have to be the Aventura Mall. Miami is a huge tourist city, so there are plenty of shops everywhere for just about everything. Oh, and for all my fashionistas, there are the most amazing fashion boutiques everywhere!

5

Diverse Culture

I love living in Miami because there’s such a rich and diverse culture. I’ve met people from all walks of life, from different backgrounds and traditions. The wonderful things about having so many different people in one place is that there’s always something new to try. Especially the food! There are restaurants in Miami for practically every country and culture. Cuban, Brazilian, Turkish, Israeli, French, you name it!

The Venetian Pool

The Venetian Pool is a pool that is filled entirely with spring water. The water is cold, but once you get used to it, it feels amazing. Since it’s fresh spring water, it won’t irritate your eyes or dry out your hair like a regular pool I suggest making a trip here for a fun but relaxing day.

7

Amazing Nightlife

New York might be the city that never sleeps, but I think Miami could rival it. If you’re looking to have party and have a good time, there’s a never-ending list of clubs and restaurants that are open and very alive until the wee hours of the morning. There’s constantly something to do, no matter what time of the day or night.

8

Everglades

One of the more out-there attractions of South Florida, but also one of the coolest. The Everglades are just outside of Miami, and it’s like stepping into another world full of swamps and unusual animals. I went on an airboat ride in the Everglades once, and I loved it! You get to see alligators and crocodiles up close (but not too close!) and all these cool birds that are native to Florida. If you’re more of a nature person, do not miss the opportunity to visit the Everglades!

9

Lincoln Road

I think Lincoln Road is a must-go-to place in Miami. It’s got everything rolled into one: amazing shops, gourmet restaurants, and other really fun things like art galleries and movie theaters. And it’s all outdoors in a long strip of buildings on either side, so it’s a wonderful place to spend a sunny day.

10

The Florida Keys

If you’re making an extended trip to Miami, you simply must venture a little farther south to the Florida Keys. The Keys are little islands or pure fun that are only about 2 to 3 hours away from Miami by car. They’re the epitome of the Bohemian lifestyle and if you’re looking to spend a day or two eating the best fish you’re ever tried and getting the best suntan in your life, take the trip down! Plus, the southern most part of the entire US is in Key West and that’s always a cool picture to take.

Miami is certainly the place to go for a laid-back time that’s fun for any occasion, whether you go with your boyfriend, best friends, or family. Are you interested in making the trip to the sunshine state? Have you ever been there? What do you think of Miami?

@Neecey Beresford thank you for the congrats and thank you for sticking up for MIA we all have good and bad spots in areas overall it's a really wonderful place

When it comes to "diverse culture", you need to add rich

@Claudia Oh dear, it's not that bad! I live the heart of Miami, as well as have a second house about 20 minutes north and I've never seen or experienced anything that extreme. I'd say it's as bad, or as good as any other area. The nightlife is one thing, but for families Miami is a great place!

@Ashley Delgado You're right is not that bad, but people here take it to extremes. Maybe is because I lived in Spain where certain amounts of cocaine and marihuana was legal and even considering that I didn't see drugs there as much as I see them here. But I'm not going to lie Miami is an amazing city, very friendly and warm (:

Whoo! Miami!!! :D
