Wow so proud to be a Sri Lankan. ❤️

Oh wow Neecey !! Totally awestruck by the amazing sights you have shared with all , who haven't made it to my beautiful island paradise!! And yes I too have to add to your list to make way for one more addition to your itinerary.Take a moment to truly enjoy a heart lifting absolutely warm Sri Lankan smile .😍

I've been! Awesome place!!

Thanks Neecey for putting up this beautiful column about my beautiful country !! You have nicely and wonderfully have mentioned all the famous places . But just to add , must say there many more beautiful waterfalls , like Dunhinda , St. Michael & Victoria ; then other beautiful beautiful beaches like Hikkaduwa, Mount Lavinia, wadduwa etc. Then the Botanical gardens in Peradeniya and Haggala which is just like paradise . And believe it or not sometimes you get to experience a combination of waterfall plus mountain view with lovely tea bushes surrounding the entire area while sipping some authentic and organic tea. There are lots of temples that are beautiful in a unexplainable way . It's always beautiful day and night ( but have to remember to dress appropriately at such religions places. Long and whites are the best) . Have to mention there are few Roman Catholic and Christian old and sacred churches too. St. Anthony Kochchikade , Madu church and St Anne's and a beautifully preserved very old Dutch church to name . Sri Lankan food is just one of a kind !!! Anyone who loves Asian and spice would definitely fall in love with the SL cuisine. And what's more wonderful, a simple curry would differ from house to house, from town to town and from district to district. Have to mention about shopping to . The things you would see are all handcrafted, hand painted and done by locals with local materials. We Sri Lankans are very famous for two things .1. Our smile:) . Be it a president or a hardworking labor or tired housewife or a penniless beggar, we smile with all . And the 2. Is our Hospitality. We are born with traditions . One of our main tradition is to serve our guests with all and whatever we have. Either if it's our last meal , we would serve it to the guest and be happy about it . Once again thanks dear for this lovely column. I love it and appreciate it very much. Hope it's ok I add some of the other important details. Have a nice day :) !
