7 Travel Channel Shows I Inexplicably Love ...

Lyndsie

I've recently gotten really into the Travel Channel. The shows are awesome, and they are the kind of reality TV that you can actually feel good about watching, because at least there aren't any housewives or GTL sessions on them. Here are 7 Travel Channel shows I inexplicably love and the reasons why. Let's see if I can convert you, too!

Man Vs. Food

Yes please! I used to think this show was disgusting. Then I actually watched it, and I promptly fell in love with Adam Richman, the chubby, charming host of the show. I do not understand why he would ever want to eat ghost peppers or things like that, but he is funny and adorable while he does it, so I am totally cool with it!

UPD:

Man Vs. Food is a popular show on the Travel Channel hosted by Adam Richman. The show follows Richman as he travels around the world, visiting different cities and sampling their cuisine. He takes on food challenges, such as eating the world's hottest pepper, and he often wins. He is known for his positive attitude and humor, which make the show enjoyable to watch. He has visited over 200 cities and sampled over 1000 dishes. Man Vs. Food has been airing since 2008 and has become one of the most popular shows on the Travel Channel. It is available for purchase on Amazon for $15.99.

Anthony Bordain – No Reservations

Although this show has been around a pretty long time, I never watched it until after seeing Bourdain on Top Chef a few times. I find him snarky and rude and a little bit too opinionated while disregarding the opinions of others – so of course I became a closet fan. Plus, some of these shows are really trippy. I mean, the Paris episode? Bourdain downin' the absinthe? For reals? Awesome sauce.

Ghost Adventures

Ghost Adventures Price: $13.99 at amazon.com
Ghost Adventures is funny. Zak Bagans acts like he can macho ghosts out of the woodwork. He's like a spiritual bully. But he's hot though, right? He looks like Gale Harold if Gale Harold really did spend all his waking hours in the gym. They even taunt in much the same way. However, they do find some wicked cool things, and there have been times when I've actually gotten cold chills while watching.

Samantha Brown

Samantha Brown Price: $13.99 at amazon.com
I love all of Samantha Brown's shows but … I don't really like Samantha Brown herself. I don't know, too perky or something. Whatever, I don't hate, because she definitely ferrets out some interesting places, and there are some of them I am seriously dying to visit.

Food Wars

Food Wars Price: $1.99 per episode at amazon.com
Also yes please! I don't know what I like this show so much, except that food competitions are always fun. And I like food history, what can I say? I want to know who has the best pizza dough and the best oozing cheeseburger. I don't know why, but it might be important someday, you know?

Oh man. This show is so gross. Andrew Zimmern just eats some of the weirdest things. Some of them, I'll admit, I wouldn't mind trying myself, but others just … I am not that strong. My stomach isn't either. I cannot handle it. I can't do eyeballs and things. No. I have a thing about eyeballs and I will never, ever, ever go there.

Dhani Jones Tackles the Globe

Dhani Jones Tackles the Globe Price: $13.99 at amazon.com
Dhani is awesome. I just love him. That is my sole reason for watching this. And I love seeing all the things he's passionate about tie in together. The world needs more passion, you know?

I'll admit, I am a bigger fan of the foodie shows on the network, as opposed to the traveling shows. I like food shows! Do you? Which ones are your favorites?
