1

Lanikai Beach, Hawaii

Lanikai Beach, Hawaii This is one of the U.S. beaches that is ideal year round so you can enjoy the sun and sand anytime the mood strikes. Travel experts say this beach isn’t easy to get to, which makes it all the better. You can enjoy your beach time without the huge crowds at more well-known beaches and the scenery here is out of this world. Crystal clear waters and blue skies are sure to leave you with plenty of happy memories.

2

Barefoot Beach Reserve County Park, Florida

Barefoot Beach Reserve County Park, Florida Head to this beach if you’re travelling with kids because the waves are small and there are lots of shallow areas to frolic and have fun. The beach is over 8,000 feet long and is connected to a park so it’s not crammed with restaurants and shopping that detract from the beach experience. The water is blue and the fun is everywhere here!

3

Hunting Island State Park, South Carolina

Hitting up a beach on the East Coast is on my bucket list and this one fits the bill just right. With water and sand as far as the eye can see, you’ll fall in love! The water temperature is just right for year round visits and if you need a photo op, this is the place to go. With lots of natural wood and rock formations, there’s a lot to see in South Carolina.

4

Ogunquit Beach, Maine

Ogunquit Beach, Maine You might not want to brave this Maine beach in the wintertime, but it sure is a great place to go when the weather is warm outside. It has level sand so it’s a great place to take a walk, but the water is fine for swimming and other fun too. Sand grasses and wooden fences add to the look and feel of this beach and it’s sure to be one you’ll never forget.

5

Cape Hatteras, North Carolina

If board surfing is your thing, this is the beach you need to get to. The water is perfect for other water sports too and you can sit on the sand and enjoy watching too. This is perhaps one of the oldest landmarks in America and is actually the first National Seashore. The beach comes complete with the most famous lighthouse in America, so don’t forget your camera.

Coast Guard Beach, Massachusetts

Coast Guard Beach, Massachusetts Part of Cape Cod, this is a great summertime beach for enjoying a low country boil. Nothing spells summer like some time in Cape Cod. This beach boasts cool and refreshing water temperatures and stunning views of the surrounding areas. You’re never going to want to leave!

7

La Jolla Cove, California

La Jolla Cove, California California has a ton of beaches, but they are often packed with people and aren’t too enjoyable. La Jolla Cove is another story. This beach has clear blue water and soft sand, but it is less crowded than surrounding areas. You get to enjoy the sun and surf without having to fight for a spot on the sand.

What’s your favorite U.S. beach? I am planning a California vacation next summer so this list is making it even more exciting when I think about laying out in the sun and enjoying a cocktail while my kids swim. Are you planning a beach vacation?

Only one West Coast beach? There's so many!

Hunting Island is my fave place. The campground is right on the ocean, so you can lay in your tent and hear the waves alllllll night long. So relaxing! And it's in the middle of nowhere, very quiet and millions of stars!
