Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

I think you have not included very importnat tourist places that must be included in "must see"list of every tourist ,be it an indian or any foreigner.they are kashmir, ladakh, varanasi, sangam of allahabad(especially kumbh mela),rajasthan,andamans....widout these visit to india is not complete...

Hi Neecey! Loved the article which incorporated a little bit of all the amazing places to see in India! If a longer list comes out I wish the andaman and nicobar Islands in India makes the cut. Havelock is spectacular! :) I would have to agree places like jaisalmer and udaipur, something to get the feel of Rajasthan May also be nice. I still really liked it! Thanks!

"Darjeeling is one of the few attractions of India in the east side of this massive country"........ Darjeeling is one of the many attractions on the east side of the country. What about Leh, Ladakh, Manipur, Tripura, etc. Come to speak of it what about placesKashmir, Gokarna, Delhi. Calcutta, Hyderbad...... The article is very condescendingly written. There are more attractions in India than "westerners" will ever be done exploring (except probably william dalrymple).

i think if some one comes to india they should visit state wise it will make their tour much easier because mostly all indian states are diverse from each other............and if someone is planning to visit rajasthan you should go to Udaipur(it is called the venice of the east)

Hi Kartika. I agree - it is such a huge country with so much to see that if people can afford the time, concentrating on one state would be ideal. The issue is that people only have limited vacation time so it's usually a case of cramming as much in as much as possible during one visit - to anywhere, not just India. It is a shame because we really do get to see so little of our world.
