Go Oh La La in the French Quarter, New Orleans

For sheer eye candy, there are very few neighborhoods that can beat New Orleans’ French Quarter.

The best time to visit is in April during the French Quarter Festival, when the French colonial townhouses with wrought iron balconies, Creole stilt cottages and antebellum mansions dripping in ivy are all dressed up to the nines to host a series of jazz concerts.

Be sure to visit Jackson Square with the neo-gothic St.

Louis Cathedral, take a tour of the New Orleans Jazz Historical Park and eat the signature food – beignets.
