31. Ride a Fan Boat in the Everglades
The Everglades is a unique ecosystem in the south of Florida.
This national park area known as the “River of Grass” is a wetland of cypress swamps and mangrove forests and is home to flora and fauna not found anywhere else in the States.
The unique way to view the wildlife – especially the crocodiles and alligators – is on an air boat trip.
Tours are available either as theme park type rides, or more intimate trips with people whose families have called the area home for generations.
