8. Floyd’s Pelican Bar, Jamaica
Like something out of a Caribbean dream, this apparition off Parottee Bay is just a mile off the coastline of South Jamaica. Without looking twice, you may be forgiven for thinking that that small smudge on the edge of the skyline is nothing more than a dot in the ocean, but don’t be fooled for long. Get a local fisherman to take you down there, and as you get closer you will see the coolest place in all of the Caribbean, made entirely out of old palm leaves and some driftwood. Carve your name in the floor, snorkel around before lunch, and enjoy fresh lobster made by none other than Floyd himself. Wash it down with an ice cold beer and paradise is made.
