Question about Greek Orthodox religion?

This is a question about different beliefs, please do not mock my question…LOL My question is about Spirit, Does Orthodoxy recognize the spirit world, seeing the dead,speaking to the dead,hearing the dead. Past lives and After Life.. I was surprised to be able to talk with my Aunty in Athens about these things- surprised in her beliefs, I assume that Orthodoxy does not recognize the Spirit world as most main stream religions
do not.
