Topping the list of the most expensive cities in the world to live in is London, the capital city of England. Monthly bills come in at an average of US$250, a one-bedroom apartment in the city will set you back on average US$2,470 per month and a simple pair of jeans will cost you around $102. Ouch!

Another entry from Switzerland, Zurich will set you back US$41 per hour to use a tennis court on the weekend, US$22 for one blockbuster movie ticket, not to mention the price of popcorn and drinks! It’ll be $2,016 per month to rent a one-bedroom apartment in the city centre.

The prices are up… While restaurant prices are fairly standard compared to the rest of the US, you’ll be paying US$2,857 per month for a one-bedroom apartment in the city, and two tickets to the theatre could end up being about US$331! If you’re thirsty and looking for a can of Coca Cola, you’ll pay about US$1.30 in the 7th most expensive city in the world to live in - Singapore. A one-bedroom flat in the city will be US$2,641 per month, and a new car will cost you, on average, a huge US$111,803! Time to get your walking shoes on!
