7 Best Hotels in Las Vegas to Truly Experience the Magic That is Vegas ...

Las Vegas Hotels should feature all the glitz and glamour that Vegas is famous for. You may think that since Vegas is known as the city that never sleeps that where you stay does not matter. However, that is far from the truth! The hotel you choose to book with can make or break your trip. Hotels in Las Vegas are more than just a place to lay your head, after all. The Best Hotels in Las Vegas have enticing casinos, award-winning restaurants, top of the line spas, and luxurious rooms and suites. I have been to Vegas more times than I can count and I always make it a point to stay at a different hotel. From my experience, these hotels are the best Las Vegas has to offer! Keep in mind, the hotels on this list are in no particular order.

Mandarin Oriental

Mandarin Oriental If it has been awhile since you’ve booked a stay at a Las Vegas Hotel (or if you’ve never been) then you may not know that the Mandarin Oriental hotel chain has opened a location in Sin City. Located in the heart of City Center (a new MGM International venture on the Las Vegas Strip) the Mandarin Oriental is a 5-star luxury resort. The hotel holds the AAA Five Diamond Award and holds three Forbes Five Star Awards, making the Mandarin Oriental one of the finest hotels in the world. Its unparalleled excellence attracts celebrities such as Kevin Spacey, Christian Louboutin, and Sigourney Weaver. The all glass façade provides excellent views of the strip. Each room has a contemporary design with Asian-inspired touches. Something that sets the Mandarin apart is their babysitting service. If you give the hotel a 24 hour notice, they will arrange a babysitter to watch your children while you explore what Vegas has to offer. The dining at the Mandarin will not disappoint either. The Mandarin is home to Twist, a restaurant by world-renowned chef Pierre Gagnaire. I suggest you try this restaurant no matter where you choose to stay! If you came to Vegas to relax, the Mandarin has plenty of ways to help you. Their spa offers a variety of treatments to heal your body, mind, and soul. No matter what brings you to Vegas, the Mandarin has something for everyone.

The Cosmopolitan

The Cosmopolitan Gogobot named the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas the 2013 "Best Hotel in the World." While I can’t confirm if it actually is the best hotel in the world, I can guarantee it is one of the best in Las Vegas! Each of the rooms is intimate with a modern, urban vibe. Some of the rooms even have a private terrace. There is enough to do in the Cosmopolitan that you wouldn’t have to leave the hotel for days! For instance, the Boulevard Pool isn’t just for swimming. You can go to a "dive in" movie, visit the Neapolitan bar, enjoy "Bubbles and Brunch" at the grill at the pool, and you may even be able to see your favorite band live at the Boulevard. The Cosmopolitan is home to Marquee Night and Day Club. You can dance the night away to house music provided by some of the most high profile DJ’s in the world. What sets Marquee apart from other clubs in Vegas is that it is open during the day as well. You can also visit the Cosmopolitan’s Spa or Salon for a relaxing massage or a new hairstyle. The Cosmopolitan also offers a fresh take on art. Instead of having exclusive galleries with roped off paintings and sculptures, the Cosmopolitan has all forms of art displayed throughout the hotel. Most of the art is interactive. They have even collaborated with the Art Production Fund to find new ways to make art accessible to everyone. My favorite thing about the Cosmopolitan, however, is the shopping! The collection of stores is perhaps the most diverse of any on the strip. Have you stayed at the Cosmopolitan? If so, do you think it’s the best in the world?

The Venetian

The Venetian The Venetian is part of the largest five-diamond hotel and resort complex in the world. This thirty-six-story hotel is a Las Vegas staple for luxury. The theme for the Venetian is, of course, Venice, Italy. The hotel carries the theme throughout the entire hotel and the rooms as well. All of the rooms in the Venetian are suites that feature marble bathrooms, LCD flat-screen TV’s, and sunken living rooms. When you start to feel hungry, you can visit one of the Venetian’s 37 restaurants. The Grand Canal Shoppes is some of the best shopping in Las Vegas. The Venetian canal runs through the shops. You can buy a ticket to take a romantic gondola ride through the hotel. All of the gondoliers come from Italy and will serenade you as you enjoy the ride. On a moving sidewalk outside the stores, you will find Madame Tussauds wax museum. This is one of my favorite attractions in Las Vegas. You can interact with all of the wax figures making it the perfect photo op. You can try to fool all of your friends into thinking you met Brad Pitt during your stay in Sin City. I’m always amazed at how lifelike the wax figures look! The seamless blend of fun and sophistication will lure you back to the Venetian time after time.

Aria Resort & Casino

Aria Resort & Casino The Aria is my favorite hotel in Las Vegas, but I may be a little biased because that’s where I stayed on my wedding weekend. However, it must be one of AAA favorite hotels in Las Vegas too because they awarded the Aria with its coveted five diamond award. The most notable aspect of the Aria is the technology it uses. All of the rooms are equipped with a touch screen pad that controls the lights, curtains, electronics, and temperature. This reduces the consumption of energy. The Aria is the largest hotel in the world to receive the LEED Gold certification. Due to the use of technology, Popular Mechanics said the Aria is possibly "the most technologically advanced hotel ever built." The Aria has also reinvented the standard room key. Instead of having to slide the key into the slot, you simply tap the key next to the censor to unlock your door. Another thing I love about the Aria is that they don’t hold back on the in-room amenities. Each room has a corner window that offers unique views of the city. The rooms have spacious closets, plush robes, a mini bar, a full sized hair dryer (not those cheap ones you find in most hotels), granite top dressers, a laptop sized safe, 300 thread-count sheets, custom-designed Sealy mattresses, high speed internet, and of course, bottles of shampoo and conditioner. The Aria offers many unique dining options. I highly recommend Sage. Not only is the food there excellent, but Sage is also home to one of the most impressive absinthe selections in the nation. The Aria was one of the first hotels in Vegas to not have a theme and since then, many other hotels have gone with the «no theme» theme. In typical Vegas fashion, the Aria also has outstanding shopping, gambling, and nighttime entertainment.

The Bellagio

The Bellagio The Bellagio is the ultimate Las Vegas Hotel experience. With a five diamond award winning casino, it’s no wonder the Bellagio hosts the World Poker Tour. But you don’t have to be a professional poker player to enjoy this casino. There are a variety of slots, poker tables, and race & sport book wagering to keep everyone happy. The casino isn’t the only thing in the Bellagio that has won awards though. The salon and spa have also won their fair share of awards. The spa menu is unique in that it offers treatments from all over the world. The hotel rooms themselves have also won the AAA Five Diamond distinction. Are you catching on yet? The Bellagio seems to have quite the reputation with winning. Many of the restaurants in the Bellagio have also won the AAA Five Diamond award, so you can’t go wrong picking a restaurant here! The entertainment at The Bellagio also lives up to the excellence the hotel is known for. The Bellagio is also home to O – an aquatic Cirque du Soleil event. This is one of the most acclaimed shows in Vegas so I suggest you order your tickets before you arrive. Speaking of aquatics, the Fountains of Bellagio are breathtaking. Even if you decide not stay at the hotel, be sure to stroll by at the top of the hour to see the impressive water show. See for yourself what all of the hype is about by booking your next Las Vegas stay at the Bellagio.

Wynn Las Vegas

Wynn Las Vegas Out of all the hotels on the list, The Wynn has the most impressive list of awards. The resort has earned AAA five diamond, Mobil five-star, Forbes five-star, and Michelin five star ratings for hotel, as well as one Michelin star for restaurant Wing Lei and is considered to be one of the finest hotels in the world. Wynn and its sister hotel Encore have more Forbes Four Star Awards than any resort in North America. One reason for this is that their star chefs are actually in the kitchen on a nightly basis. After enjoying one of the best dining experiences in Vegas, head to one of the five clubs the Wynn has to offer. These clubs are all celebrity hot spots. If night clubs aren’t your style, the Wynn is home to some of the best shows in Las Vegas. Le Rêve – The Dream was voted "Best Show in Las Vegas." Being an Oklahoma girl, I must include that Garth Brooks also performs at the Wynn. Whether you are staying at the Wynn or not, you must visit the botanical gardens and bright atriums inside the hotel. The flowers are so bright and beautiful, you may think they are fake at first glance. If you love the finer things in life, staying at the Wynn is a must!

Trump International Hotel

Trump International Hotel Regardless how you feel about the Donald, it’s undeniable that Trump International is one of the Best Hotels in Las Vegas. This is the only hotel on the list that isn’t located directly on the strip. This makes it one of the more family friendly hotels on the list. You and your family can be a little more removed from the hustle and bustle of the Las Vegas nightlife. Another aspect of this hotel that is different than most is that it’s a non-gaming hotel. Each room inside Trump International has floor-to-ceiling windows that offer panoramic views of the strip. While the glass looks gold on the outside, you won’t notice this looking out of the windows inside the room. On the 7th floor deck of the hotel, there is a 110-ft heated pool. It’s the perfect way to unwind before going out on the town. There are only two restaurants inside the hotel, but they won’t disappoint. While Trump International may not have all of the entertainment of other hotels, it’s perfect for a relaxing stay in the busy city.

Las Vegas Hotels are some of the best in the world. I can assure you that you will enjoy your stay in Sin City if you make a reservation at any of these 7 hotels. Have you stayed at any of the hotels that made the list? If so, what did you think? Did your favorite Las Vegas hotel not make the list?
