Are you looking for the best US ski resorts in the east then your search may end here.

I visited Ski Magazine to see which resorts they are recommending for 2015.

They are quite an authority on the subject so you can guarantee some great ideas.

Here’s some of their suggestions for best Eastern US ski resorts for 2015:

1. Smuggler’s Notch, Vermont

Smuggler’s Notch, Vermont

With one of the homiest atmospheres of all US ski resorts, this resort is known for being very family friendly and offers some of the best skiing and snowboarding on the eastern side.

Not only is there excellent skiing, but Smuggler’s Notch offers a full menu of winter fun!

If the kids aren’t into skiing, there are programs like movies, magic and science shows that will keep them busy while the parents take on the slopes.

Stay in a comfortable mountainside condo and eat at one of the several dining locations.2

2. Sugarloaf, Maine

Sugarloaf, Maine

This resort is known for its laid-back atmosphere as well as its world-class skiing.

Sugarloaf is the largest ski area east of the Rocky Mountains, and offers the only lift-serviced above-treeline skiing in the east.

With 1,056 developed, well-groomed skiable acres, there’s something for everyone.

If there’s not enough snow, they’ll create it for you!

Towards the end of the season be sure to catch Reggaefest, several performances are free.

3. Jay Peak Resort, Vermont

Jay Peak Resort, Vermont

Mostly located in the town of Jay, Vermont, but some parts spill over to Westfield, and just 4 miles south of the Quebec border.

Receiving the most snowfall of any of the ski areas in the Northeastern US, people flock to the slopes en masse and particularly enjoy the tree skiing.

After a morning of skiing, stay in the recently upgraded lodge or cozy up in a private cottage or condo.

Get a day pass to the water park, of just enjoy one of several restaurants in the area.
